Paulaner Leipzig in Leipzig

Good middle-class Bavarian cuisine. The portions are large, so the price-performance ratio is good. The Käsespätzle are not a hit, zero taste, because you take plain Gouda cheese. Much, much better !!!!! and that with homemade spaetzle. Doesn't work at all 😭 The service was always very friendly and attentive.

It has never happened to me there before that a dish did not arrive warm on the table. The choice of drinks leaves nothing to be desired. The seating is extremely pleasant and I find the distance between the seats extremely appropriate. There you don't even get the feeling of dining like cucumbers in a can in the evening. Certainly I come here with my relatives and can rely on being looked after properly. I found the offer particularly appealing.

Good hearty food, just Bavarian. I can only recommend.

Also by far super cozy with attentive staff. You don't need to say anything about beer except: delicious 😊.

The food is good. Staff is polite and first. Prices slightly raised. In itself it was a beautiful evening in typical Bavarian style. I will probably visit it again on my next visit to Leipzig.

Great place with "honest" food. Our waiter was super attentive, quick and really funny. Great ambience, delicious home-style cooking, perfect wine recommendation. If we're in Leipzig again, we'll be happy to come back. 👍👍👍

We sank there in the early afternoon because we were served very pleasantly. Unfortunately that turned 180 ° after the service changed. Extremely long waiting time. We had to wait more than 1 hour 20 minutes for our food - neither when ordering nor in between we were informed about it or apologized for it. Food (classic tarte flambée, Kinderschnitzel and Jägerschnitzel) tasted okay, but the long waiting time left a bad aftertaste.

Very long waiting times (in total for 4 people with main and dessert 2 hours just waiting) Unfriendly, arrogant staff Much too small portions for unreasonably high prices Canned mushrooms ... and operation without a mask! Corona is welcome here.

The waiters are super nice, quick and super friendly. That with the meal should be reconsidered. Duck, roast pork and knuckle of pork had no dark beer sauce but a ready-made tomato sauce, dumplings were also Konvinien products. The Kaiserschmarrn was tough. Bavarian cuisine is unfortunately different and better. But as I said, the waitress with dark hair was GREAT !!!! Thank you again for the great service.

Got wrong dish. The employee was very rude and tried to put this error on us. We paid for our drink and left. According to the statement of this unfriendly employee, we should have waited ..... and probably very, very long. Not to be recommended at all. You don't have to be treated like that as a guest. Fortunately, there are many other magical restaurants in Leipzig with great service.

First of all, there are a lot of pretty and delicious restaurants around where the restaurant is located. So it's okay to go somewhere else on the way (you don't need to eat until you wait a long time) This restaurant is a popular, casual restaurant just by name. It would be nice to think of it as a food to go with beer rather than a specific menu. (It means that the food is not bad, it's all okay)

We went to the Paulaner for the first time today. It was a successful evening, the service was friendly and always had a little joke ready. Had eaten there again in the run-up to the cabaret. It will certainly be the last time. The service is relatively friendly and hard-working. At best, the food is of canteen level. The soup was cold, the schnitzel was sticky, the vegetables were frozen, unseasoned and cold, and the coleslaw was probably also out of the package - definitely tasteless. The roast pork went like this, red cabbage was very vinegar-heavy, dumplings tasted like nothing. The red wine had a serving temperature of about 28 degrees ... All in all, an unreasonable price considering the prices. You can find much better in the area, and we will use that next time. It's a shame, the second chance wasn't used. But the bar lives from the walk-in customers. You don't have to bother.

I was truly looking forward to having dinner and many beers here when I came to Leipzig. I sat near the entrance/bar area tonight and my waiter (older gentleman) could have cared less that I had been waiting 20 minutes for a beer JUST TO START! He waited on several other people that came in after me and it was almost as if I didn’t exist. I love Germany but, this lack of service from service industries has me baffled. Think about that! SERVICE from restaurants, hotels, infrastructure companies (like DB), etc is extremely poor at best. Not all are like this but, a large portion are. If you can’t be of service to customers, leave the industry! Both World Wars never taught Germans a single thing. You would think this alone would have caused Germany to be more hospitable and drop the attitude but no it didn’t. Stop making excuses like: “Well, Germans are rough around the edges because that’s just the way Germans are” No. I’ve had BETTER service in Russia! Seriously.

Difficult without German, few people speaking English. Beer and food are very good. Nice place for a supper.

Stay away from this place. Potato was undercooked and bolonia kilbasa was oassing for meatloaf. No one speaks english and waiter is not intersted to help english speaking tourists.

This is a real nice beer house in the middle of Leipzig. You will get great authentic Bavarian food as pork knuckles and Schweinebraten. The beach house is totally in the center and the center of lipstick looks a little like very nice German town with the that touch of the south.

Went in to the restaurant and even had take the menu ourselves. A waiter was very ignorant although the food was not bad, but not good either.

Great food and excellent variety of beer from that Bavarian company. Schnitzel are big even for 2 persons. If you go for healthy options they have good salads and also turkey schnitzel. Central location close to Thomaskirche.

An unpretentious and relaxed place off the mainstream tourist circuit and good for a beer (or two) during a walk around the city centre. Also has hearty Bavarian food which is a bit too filling for lunch but excellent for dinner. Polite and attentive staff in lederhosen (what would you expect - it is a Bavarian style restaurant after all!) The wait for food and service is not noticeably long (but we are talking German not British or North American standards here;!) Not pricey. Would I patronise again? Yes !

Absolutely terrible and disappointing experience. The food tasted like nothing at all (we had two different soups) or else like flavour enhancers (käsespätzle). The service was bad and on top overpriced. I don't recommend anybody to come to this place.

I visit Leipzig often. The Paulaner is one of my favorite places to eat in this town. I have found the service to be good, and the food to be very authentic and representative of Bavarian fare. They offer a menu in English for non-German speakers. I recommend the Liver Dumpling Soup and the Crispy Pork Knuckle.
